Frequently Asked Questions
When should I schedule my tax appointment?
As early as you're able to — appointment times fill up as the April 15 deadline approaches, and scheduling early gives us more time if anything unexpected comes up with your return.
What if I need more time to file?
We can file an extension on your behalf. Keep in mind an extension gives you more time to file, but not more time to pay — any tax owed is still due by the original deadline.
Do you handle multi-state returns?
Yes. I&N Accounting is based in New Jersey and regularly prepares returns for clients who also have New York or other state filing obligations.
What if I haven't filed in a prior year?
That's something we can help sort out. Call to discuss your specific situation — the sooner it's addressed, the fewer penalties tend to accrue.
Do you file sales tax returns?
Yes. I&N Accounting registers and files sales tax returns for clients in both New Jersey and New York.
